OTHER MEDICAL CENTER AREAS
9. Brain Lab Cranial Navigation System
This is a GPS system for the brain, guiding surgeons in locating and
treating abnormalities. You can help fund such a system for the new
Neuroscience Institute at CPMC’s Davies Campus.
10. Cardiac Cryo Ablation Equipment
Currently, when CPMC patients need cardiac cryo-ablation, they are
transferred to an outside medical facility. Help CPMC broaden its
capability to serve cardiac patients so this procedure can be performed
in-house.
11. Cardiac 3D Mapping System
Help ensure that our world-class electrophysiologists are equipped with
the best technology available and that our cardiac patients needing
ablation to treat arrhythmias will receive the safest and most effective
care.
12. Coming Home Hospice

end of life diseases. Insurers only cover about half the annual budget;
the rest depends on people like you, who recognize the value of life’s
most precious moments.
13. Hepatitis B Free Screening Project
In collaboration with the SF Department of Public Health, CPMC initiated
the Hepatitis B Free Screening Project for high-risk groups and has
screened 3,120 people in two years. Your gift will help us screen
another 3,000 individuals over the next two years.
14. Institute for Health & Healing (IHH)

15. Paul May and Frank Stein Interventional Endoscopy Center Expansion
Your gift will go towards funding expansion that will benefit patients who urgently need
diagnosis and treatment for gastrointestinal and biliopancreatic tract problems.
16. Radiation Oncology 4D CT Simulator
In radiation therapy, a CT Simulator sets the unique measurements
necessary to treat individual patients. Your gift will replace CPMC’s
existing simulator, near the end of its lifespan, with an upgrade that
will provide more detailed images, less time on the table for the
patient as well as the ability to accommodate people of all sizes.
